Equipment
All of the machines and equipment that we use at JR Paper Company we selected to fit the needs of our customers. Our sheeters, slitters and re-winders can handle even the largest rolls of paper as well as rolls with damaged cores. Our in-house maintenance staff keeps us up and running every day. We are always looking for new ways to meet the needs of an ever-changing market. Adding new equipment, as needed, is part of the process. By taking care of our machines and adding new ones as necessary, we make sure that we have the capacity that our customers require.
Currently, we have the following equipment working for us:
Moore-White & Clark Aiken Sheeters:
These two machines can convert rolls of paper and board from roll form to a stack of sheets with an accuracy of +/- 1/16 inches. They can process rolls from 15-72 inches wide and up to 80 inches in outside diameter, with a maximum sheet length of 72 inches.
Moore-White:
- Sheets board up to .050 inches thick
- Top running speed of 600 feet per minute
- Shaft-less unwind stand that allows processing of very large rolls as well as rolls with damaged cores
Clark-Aiken:
- Top running speed of 900 feet per minute
- 6-roll unwind stand for efficient production of light-weight papers
- Slits trim off of the paper in-line – which gives us greater production efficiency
Langston Slitter / Re-winder
- Conversion of wide rolls of paper to narrower rolls - all the way down to 2” ribbons
- Shaft-less un-Wind stand can handle rolls up to 90” wide and 80” outside diameter
- Rewinds damaged rolls, or switches rolls with damaged cores onto new cores
- Rewinds rolls up to 60” outside diameter
- Top running speed of 1,800 feet per minute
- Equipped with roll “up-ender” on re-winder for added roll protection
Drent Printing Press
- 17” wide web capacity with in-line sheeter
- 3 color stations
- Cut-off lengths of 11” & 22”.
- Hole-punch and numbering ability
- Top running speed of 12,000 sheets per hour at 22” sheet length
Appleton Core-Cutter
- Semi-automatic, fast, precision core production
- Can also be used to recycle used fiber cores into “core legs” in pallet production
Weld-O-Tron Shrink Tunnel
- Packages product in a clear film in equal units
- Wraps product up to 18” x 40”
Two Clamp Trucks
- 6,000 Lb. capacity
- Handles rolls up to 80” O.D.
- Does not damage the edges of rolls the way a fork-lift can.
- Eliminates the need to load rolls on wood pallets
- Makes storage/inventory much more efficient.
